newbie seeking info for more power

hello iv had my 182 clio for bout 2weeks now, what can i do to get more power out of it? please help

first question.... why do you need more power? if its not powerfull enough after only two weeks of ownership, it might not be the car for you..... remember the 182 is not just about straightline speed, they have a proper sorted chassis.... maybe book some track days to get the full potential out of it?

true, just wanted to get ahead of the rest of the standard clio 182's, iv never been one to settle with what it comes like, just wanted to bring it up to at least 200bhp

really depends on how much money you have to spend, obviously first you should think about full exhaust system, decat, induction kit, then manifold work, throttle bodies, and headwork but its expensive

welcome, when you say "at least 200bhp" you make it sound like you THINK its pretty cheap to get it over the magical 200 mark. If you're thinking a simple IK and exhaust will do, it wont... not a PROPER 200+ figure.. Maybe if you took it to the likes of LAD after those they might say it is... but they are probably working on their clio 400 at the moment.. actually, dont they sell the "400" resistors on ebay?

i know its not gonna be cheap but money really is not a problem, im looking into supercharging it at the moment- has any one on here had a supercharger put on there 182 yet? where can i get a straight through zorst system, do janspeed do one? and how much will i be looking at for full system including manifold and fitting?

I don't see Morego making 200hp for that price your looking at about £2.5k for 200hp+ Maybe a good car would make that but thats not the adverage car.
There loads of different levels of tunning to get you to 200hp though or more depends what you want ie N/A going to a proper throttle body turbo etc.

For a cam/manifold/ECU package from the likes of Yozzasport or GDI, you'll be looking at around £2300. This will give you 195-205bhp approx with the following mods.

Full exhaust system (manifold to backbox) around £1000 - Prospeed in Cardiff are very highly recommended. A simple decat section should unleash a few bhp as a cheaper option.

Induction kits from Hill Power or Pipercross (usually Viper) around £250

Other Directions:
Throttle body packages start around £3500 - Yozzasport or GDi

Turbo conversions £5000+ (250bhp) - K-Tec, BB Engineering

Superchargers are available but uncommon. PM Mike at Rentech as he has one waiting to be fitted to his car.
