Newbie with an 05 clio 1.2

Hi,
My name is Charles and i am from swansea. last week i went out and got my self a 2005 Clio 1.2 as i was using my Impreza as my main car for over 2 years but MPG was starting to get to me, so i looked for a 2nd car as a cheap little run around and found the Clio, and i have to say they are a really nice car.
Just a quick question on the car there's one thing on the trip computer i don't understand and it has a number like this: 1.2 G. what is this?

Welcome pal, the 1.2 G is the amount of fuel consumed since last trip reset. The options can be cycled via a button on the end of the right stalk.

Here you will see mileage - distance covered - fuel used (in gallons) - distance left - mpg.
