Newbie with an aftermarket seat question

Hi all.

Firstly loving the site, loads of info about and some really nice cars too!

Right down to business:
I am 6'2" and currently driving a 172 cup. The driving position is ok, but i find the seats far too high.
I assume that some of you guys have got aftermarket seats fitted, but how much does this lower the driving position by?
I am also thinking of an upgrade to a V6 at some point soon and was wondering whether the engine prevents the seats from going right the way back etc etc......Anyone got aftermarket seats in a V6??

Pics would be great guys.

Cheers :)

Loadsa people do mate, you will get an answer dunna worry. im gonna get some in mine but dont really wanna lower me much cus im only iccle

sport seats like the recaro treadlines in the trophy lower the seating position by around 10mm

my misanos are around 10mm lower as well but can go another 10mm if you get rid of the spacers on the subframe

iirc full on buckets like tims will lower the ride height by a fair bit more

Excellent, cheers for the feedback guys.

So aftermarket seats without spacers on the frame could lower my seating position by around 30mm! That sounds pretty good to me!
Might look into this for my current 172 and maybe transfer them across to the V6 if i ever get one.

Any pics of aftermarket seats in a V6 out there? I assume they use the same fitment etc as the 172?

Had these buckets in my RS-1.

super-low subframes, they were almost on the deck. lol i'm only 5'7 too.
