Car  E46 325i, 205 GTI 1.9,
Hi All,

Just joined up as i'm in the process of looking for a good 182 for the missus to use as a daily driver. I'm sure i'll be borrowing it at the weekends for a bit of fun too! I'll be paying up to join as a full member shortly but thought i'd whack up an intro first. We're both into our cars and make sure they are well looked after, here's some of the current fleet and previous cars...

My Daily - E46 325i

My toy -Pug 205 1.9 GTI which i'm currently restoring (will whack a thread up if any interest)

Absolute minter FMSH - 69K 2 prev owners, hope it's still being looked after :(

And her first car, a little 106. Bought it looking a bit sorry for itself but soon had it sorted..

Cracking little first car.

I also do a charity rally every year called the Ramshackle where you drive to Spain and back in a £150 car, again i'll stick a proper thread up if any interest but for now have a couple of pics of last years Mondeo (we're using an Omega this year)

Looking forward to getting a 182 and giving it some attention!

Welcome along. That charity car is excellent! Love it!

There's a guide on 182s, but I think it's only available to fully paid up members. Plenty of information on here too, so it's worth the tenner - if not for the membership pack alone!

Thanks mate. Will be paying up shortly so will look out for the guide. I'll have a browse of the for sale section as well to see what's about

Welcome mate, very interested in seeing the 205 build.

Beemer looks well, i'm sure you'll have mega fun in a 182.

Any colours or models you've been looking at?

Thanks mate, will sort out a build thread on the Pug.

Looking at a 182 with the Cup pack (still learning the differences from the guide on here) in silver or black preferably but condition is the most important factor. Just missed out on a nice low mileage black one on an 04 plate.

RB is a rather desirable colour, there was a couple on Pistonheads, as well as other colours for relatively close or around your budget.

04, 54 and 05 plates should've had belts done. 55 plates will be requiring them done later this year. It's usually 5 years old or 72k (Cambelt) 36k (Aux belt) but most usullh get it done together. :)

Well we got one! it's a FF with 60K on the clock on an 04 plate. FRSH including the all important belt change last year. Needs a few cosmetic odds and ends like a wheel refurb and a couple of scuffs but with a bodyshop in the family that's not a problem. Looks like it's been mechanically well looked after. Just having some new rear wheel bearings fitted before we collect...

Not bad for £4250 ;-) It's a riot to drive. Can't wait to have a play!
