A) It's a repost and B) It may have the engine but it NEEDS it because of how mcuh the fibreglass and "1400db sound system" weigh together.

It's about as useful as wet paper bag

a its not a repost as i took the photo today while out and about so its a new pic

erm well the body will weigh the same as the standard s1600 kit id imgine
as for the sound system i didnt even know it had one till i spotted the cover of lax power
as it was just parked at the side of the road

Hmm, a 300 brake clio or...

Not a tough choice really.

When did I say my car was better? I'd like you to quote me on that without editing a post to prove a point.

If I had a choice Id have a standard V6 over this abortion of Elton John and Satan.

Like me saying you'd prefer a Nissan Micra convertible to the "300bhp Clio"

I was highlighting the fact you were commenting on its power to weight ration when your rocking a standard 1.4

If you doubled the weight of a clio and gave it 300 bhp, I'm guessing it would still be pretty quick. And in my opinion those mods won't have no where near doubled the weight, therefore it's probably one of the fastest clios on the road.

Behind yours of course.

Yes. You keep saying about my car again. It IS standard engine wise and going to stay that way as it'd be pointless to do anything.

I never said it'd be as slow as a tortoise but yeah with extra weight you'd need extra power which was my point.

And I yet again never said my Clio was faster. Although it IS faster than yours ;)

And Mikey. Thanks very much for your input. Really appreciate it.

Yes cause fibreglass is one of the heaviest materials known to man isnt it.

Idiot.

I'm willing to sacrifice the extra horsepower for the looks, value, and age of my car over yours.

Therefore, I do not care.

Apparently so. Cause the sound system is just featherweight in the back too

Funny how you mock Wiley's and Lusty's cars because they look ridiculous. Fine they dont have a massive engine like this BUT if they did they'd still look crap and still have extra weight on because of the bodykits and this is my point which nobody seems to get..

Also, the 140db install is only 2 sealed 12's and 2 amplifiers wont weight that much. I bet the car isnt that much heavier than standard.

If you wanted to comment on its performance, You should have mentioned the 19" wheels, Not the weight.

Anyway, U failed.

I like it, saw it on maxpower and thought it looked good

And im not a fan of huge bodykitted cars

  Cupra
Except for the bonnet and mirrors, I really don't mind that at all. Nice to see it has the power too, normally they are just fibre glassed up 1.2's.

I honestly dont think he is losing sleep over it. I bought the magazine to read about it, Its had £50k spent on which the owner can obviously afford and is happy with the car and got where he wanted.

As soon as people mention a sub woofer they immediately think that its added 3 times the weight to the car.

ITs not exactly a big system, 2 Vibe Black airs, 2 sealed boxes and 2 amps.

Honestly, Not a heavy system.

In fact with the fact it has 4 lightweight carbon cobra seats in place of the standard seats, I doubt he has added that much weight to it at all.

  In between cars....
I think a standard bonnet in that black or a carbon bonnet would look better, i like that, looks good

Ah well. Im off out rather than spend my Saturday night on ClioSport.

My main argument was feeble and it would only be proved with a before/after weight test of the car.

I still stand by the fact it looks like an alien turd from mars.

Thanks 54dynamique for the personal insults. Really not needed as I thought people on this forum had some sort of dislike to MaxPower chav chariots but it seems if it has a massive engine it doesn't matter what it looks like. It's great.

I won't be posting in here again. But I'll know in my heart that it is one of the ugliest Clios about.

Given the choice between Vein's 1.4, or that abomination of a car, I'd have the cheap, chuckable and cheerful 1.4 every single time.

That other thing is hideous - simply changing each and every single thing on the car for something non-standard doesn't automatically make a car good as most on here seem to think it does, it makes it expensive and hard work. I respect the work and effort and money that's gone into it, but to use a very tired expression, I could spend 3 months of my life and £50,000 polishing a turd yet the end result would still be s**t.

Completely tasteless.

wondered what the thoughts of cs would be on this. and im suprised. most seem to like it.

do agree though that the install is not heavy, compaired to some

  LY 182
if it had normal mirrors, a normal single colour paint job and a set of more motorsport looking wheels it would look quite nice, but i'd dread to look underneath it i hate to think how the tracks been widened.
unless its on custom wishbones/shafts etc etc i'd never want it

  mk 2 172
that car was also ont the cover of performance french cars this month. not my cuppa tea, but as long as the owners happy i suppose
