can anyone recomend a nice ride hight for me as i want to lower it but not to much as i have the wee fella in the back and dont want a harsh ride for him just want to make it look a bit lower and also can i use any mk2 clio springs or does it need to be for the sport?

i'd say the best springs would be eibach sportline they only drop it around 25mm but the ride & handling are perfect as i'm in the same boat with a little'un on board

  Inferno 182 & Saxo
Sportlines tbh, not those apex things. Had mine fitted yesterday (Cheers Fred@BTM) and it looks good now. Should settle too down a bit too over time. Dont listen to people saying the ride is crashy etc, its not.

imo, youll fit sportlines,

step back, and not be able to notice the difference!

they are good springs though, superior to most other when it comes to handling and ride comfort, they just dont give you very much drop at all!
Apex on the other hand give you a good drop and nice stance, but the ride quality suffers a lot!

there are other brands such as spax/apexi/koni/pi, but very few people have tried them all and can give any decent feedback! most of the CS sheep will tell you to get sportlines ;)

Sportlines are a 35mm drop on non cup cars..... that's pretty significant.

It's sportlines or coilovers for me. I wouldn't want ot drop more than sportlines on standard shocks.

I run sportlines too. so a +1 from me.

35mm at the front and 20ish at the back. A little bit more firm, and far more sure-footed.

They do look good with apex's on but I still require the ability to tackle speed bumps. There are loads of lowering springs on ebay but are they any good? I'd wager no

i have had apex on it previously nice drop but with mrs using the car aswell i thought its best to fit the eibach

  Looking for 182
This was mine on Sportlines. I always felt it was a little too high, and when I got Turinis it 'looked' even higher.

So then I went for some coilovers and now I think it's a good balance between ride height and being practical :)
