Very small update to keep it ticking over. Still waiting for more bits from the painters. (The reason im waiting is because my painter is a friend that is doing mine inbetween work. This is to mainly keep cost down)
anywho decided to start tidying the trims. Im goin to do both grills, scuttle and various other trims in matt black. Just did the top grill yesterday to kill a hour. Just as a bonus i accidently including a picture of my puppy dog

In a true hijack of my own thread i thought id share with you my clio heritage. This my other clio "project". This one however has been ongoing from feb 2011. I got it in a standard but tired looking state. 90000 miles full service history. I drove it for maybe a month then whipped the engine out and bobbed a 2.0 f7r in. Valver lads will know this conversion. I fully sprayed it including rear arch full removal and repair. Fresh interior with a full black theme. Here she is in her unfinished glory.

That shocker bolt is a bit dodgy, with it being only 8.8. Even tho the spring carries most of the weight it still wants a high tensile bolt.

Noted. although im not disagreeing can you please back this up with evidence. I will look into this but as you stated the shocker does not take the full weight. i will talk to our master tech, engineer and parts dept tomorrow to see the facts of axle pressure on the shocker bolt. thanks for bringing this to my attention

8.8 is fine they have a tensile strength of around 50+tons per square inch, as for the storm grey <3<3

For the sake of about £2 for a new high tensile bolt, Is it worth bodging?

If your sujesting this is a bodge job project please refrain from commenting anymore. I dont appreciate it and im not here for people to **** off my workmanship. I am a very experienced technician and i can assure you all work is c/o to my very high personal standards.

For all the rest there will be picture updates lata today. The screens were fitted today and the bonnet and bootlid is all fitted. More to come

Crikey mate, calm down. Just pointing out that its not right. No need to sound like an arrogant arse.

As again if its wrong i shall fix it but sujesting im bodging my build is a statement i dont appreciate. And again feel free to not post about my project anymore.

And again to make my point clear yes it might 'be reyt' but its not right, If you had such high standards you would've already known this. Was just a piece of constructive critisicm to help you out, Good luck anyway looks a decent project.

Ok so got the windows in today along with the bonnet and tailgate fitted. Panel lines still need slight tweaking but thats fine tuning for lata. Also a buzzing noise was doing my head in the interior light so i stripped it down to find a fan motor i think for the climate control all dusty and dirty. I cleaned this and refitted. Jobs a good un!Heres sum pics........

Nice!

Wheels will let it down IMO when finished. It'll need some chunky, aggressive jobs maybe MO's and a decent drop.

Cheers for the love guys means alot for clio lovers to like it. Ive had the obligatory "is it primer" comments.
its Somehow jumped from project to soon to be daily with the fitting of the bumpers. Plan is to stick the turinis on after mot and some decent wheel spacing. I will stick some pics of my interior soon. Pretty much stock apart from black headliner, sunvisors, interior light, a-pillar trims.

Wow some very nice responses there guys. Thanks alot. As you say knuckles i have put some thought into the anthracite alloys and trims. I think it would look great. Two of the turinis are in this colour at the minute but i havnt tried them on yet. Im probably goin to toy with the colours to see which compliments best.
The spoiler is goin to be the standard one until a later date. I will at some point put a cup one on but my budjet is running thin and its nearly holiday season. I think once shes on the road some trendlines are the next step......

Ok got a few last trims fitted and took it for a small run up and down street today. I will be taking it to work next saturday for the mot then taxed on the first. Look forward to driving it........ Heres the latest
