If the washers are not there, they cant test them. But if they are present, and they dont work, thats a fail!

So taxed it and drove it for the first time today. Couldnt resist giving it abit down the bypass. Definately pulls well. Nows the big question:- what would a standard 172 rev limit at because this one seems to limit at about 7500-7600. I cant remember what my last 172 limited at. Hit me with some knowledge guys. Am i running standard or has she been tweeked??????

Scrap that last question. I seem to have mistaken that rev limit. Just been for another run and seem to be limiting at 7300 and i seem to have the 5k kick. I think shes standard

Cheers guys. Yeah i think its standard. I think for now i will enjoy the car as it is, future plans however (after the summer) trendlines, cup spoiler, smaller steering wheel, maybe uprated bushes and engine mounts. As soon as i get get some fruitier stylish pics ill bob them up.

My swan song for this project. This car now has a new owner by the name of jackzx6r. He is a lad i work with. Top guy and im glad hes got it so it can be finished. The amount of work i put into this i would be devastated to see someone ruin it

Bought this car of ebay. Bodywork was mint but the engine sounded it liked it needed a dephaser. Dropped it round a friend of the forum and when removing the front bumper can across a bent subframe and crash beam. The car is no probably going to be broken for parts so watch this space!! To say that i am pissed off is an understatement as the previous owner never mentioned any of this and unless you jacked the car up or removed the bumper you might never know.

Surely you can just change the subframe on that? But looking at the pictures in the thread the front end is hardly pictured where you would see the crash bar. Seems a shame to break.

Its a s**tty thing to do I agree but its always worth going over a repainted car with a fine toothcomb, people rarely spray an already mint car!
