Same happened to my old one! Must be fairly common. I swapped mine out and it was fine, but then it did it again to the new owner. Was months later though.

It was a piece of the clutch that had broke off. And did this to the box.
So the bit had been flung around the box before smashing on the crank sensor.. I already had a new box waiting to go in after it had started to crunch I also had the clutch and oil so just needed a new sensor and I was away

After a few days painting bits it was back up and running with new godspeed 330mm disks and new ferodo ds1.11s

So after It went back together I did some testing and it was all good however July has started and FCS was round the corner I was on track so had a quick check over.
When checking it over I realised one of the pad pins where bent but still didn't explain why one started to come out at cadwell so Mr Pink got a pm and sent me some over.

now we have gravity and waxstock over the next two weeks then over August I will be checking the car over as we are taking our first driving trip into Europe and going to a little place called Nurburbring.

Well that escalated quickly.. fly down to Donington after work to catch an hour of the track day don't mind if I do..

wow June was the last post I made I do apologise since then the car has been through a lot so lets start the pages of updates.. firstly following my 30 mins at Donington i found a video of a st chasing me which was quite good.

So then back in July I purposely made the choice not to go out on track as I had the small matter of the Ring looming however I did have a list of stuff I needed to get through and in doing so I made a few problems but nothing that could not be sorted.. in the list of parts is something I've wanted for a while but never got round to it. Rear door cards being the long journey it is I wanted to make it a bit nicer in there for me so got a set of facebook brand new After a bit of drilling and cutting they where in and made it much better..

then came ring prep this was done over a few days originally I wanted to check the full car over nut and bolt job however as I had paint marked it it took only half the time to do was brilliant however I had broken another baring from my top mounts this year I am looking to get another make.
Another day another quick check.. blead the rear brakes got the fluid nice and gold and checked underneath then fitted my new rear plate tomorrow the I will start checking the front.
after I put the rear wheels one something did not seam right however I plodded on the next day I did the front.
well started it was pi$$ing it down so had to stay like this for a while.
so managed to get it all finished off..
or so I thought final torque of the wheels and the rear bolt kept spinning turned out I had somehow stripped the thread.

After spending all day faffing around and trying different places and prices I have decided to just get some new disks and pads as they are just stock i can not see the need to repair them so have gone for MTec rear c hooked disks.
a couple of days past and I was getting antsy but.
and it was'nt long before they where on and painted nice.

right I am going to copy my other forum post so it makes it as interesting as before with all the page brakes and stuff but just know even now 5 months on i still dream about the place and watching the Guy Martin thing it still sends the hairs on my neck on edge as it was just brilliant..
words cannot explain how the last few days have been at the ring i will shortly be doing a full wright up with pics from what i was doing and my insta posts however in brief i had felt like I had died and gone to heaven the drive there was killer that early in the morning however once there and refreshed we went for a drive into Adeneu and my god what a place. I will sort it out later with all the pics but after 10 laps and 4 days driving us and the car are back in one piece 1600 miles later.

As promised.. as you are all aware this little trip was planned this time last year and after months of planning and worrying it wasn't going to happen I had the ferry booked a back up hotel on deposit and was getting ready to go.. I had ring insurance sorted with brake down. The real hotel had been booked and I had my location. This is turning into a story.. I'll skip to the trip as you all watch my feed and can see how the prep went.. I had Thursday off so sorted all my tools and clothes out and got packed..
Car was loaded and I was ready nervous but ready..
I've never taken my own cars onto a ferry or driven abroad in my own car so it was all new for me and the Mrs.
The driven down was nice got stuck in a small amount of traffic.

The trip on the wrong side of the road didn't take long to get used to. But by this time it was 3.00 in the morning and I was feeling it with only an hour sleep we stopped off in Brussels for fuel then again somewhere in Germany just for a wee and to wake myself up some more. We carried on dispute me wanting to stop for a nap but missed the exit. We didnt see much of the road or the surrounding area as it was dark however the sun was coming up and we could see we drove passed YouTube corner and eds garage and I knew I was there 2 mins later I saw robs bmw and a couple of m3s we where stopping with. So found the key under the mat and went to bed..

We had got there just after 8am and had slept untill 1pm and was awake and excited. We needed to go shopping but didn't really find much where we were stopping in Barr so decided to go to a familiar sounding place Adenau I had no idea where I was going so followed the signes the drive down was amazing we went for seeing boring cars to m3 m3 gt3rs gt4 lambo renault sport megane suddenly we both felt we was on the way to a car show just a amazing one. And the road into the town was amazing sweeping bends nice and smooth it was a real treat we didn't even get fully into the town before finding the cockpit cafe the car park was something. It wasn't full but everyone had parked so they wouldn't get a door dent and there was about 7 197s in there all tracked up mine didn't look out of place atall..
We had some food and it was time. Time for the ring. I was shitting my self we was in the que and I was not ready but it was here time to go.
It was scary having played the games and watched so many videos I was not ready but I was here and going round after bridge the road is so big and it goes so fast the corners kept coming and coming and disappearing with the crests and blind corners. Before I knew it we was at the karussell the was coming down into YouTube corner then the mini karussell the gantry and before I knew it we had done one of the best things of my life we was both so high on what had just happened it was such an amazing experience
The car was on form and I loved it so much. We did 2 laps that day then went back to the famous piston clouse I think that's how it's spelt but the food was amazing.
The next day the ring opened at 11 so after a morning of visiting ringwerk and spending some money
We had some food and it was time. Time for the ring. I was shitting my self we was in the que and I was not ready but it was here time to go.

Then it was time for the Ring the Mrs decided to stay with my pals and watch at this point I had lapped up another 4 laps and had the videos to prove it they will be up later as will the Mrs pics she took at YouTube corner. My pal had come with me and was surprised how quick I had got to grips with the track which was a real confidence booster.
We then went on to Sunday and did another 4 laps by this time I was on form flashing people out of the way and using the whole of the track that 3 days ago I was so scared of it was epic coming out of the mini karasell on 2 wheels chasing 300bhp+ cars out of the way I was on top of the world I knew lap 10 Was my last and was happy there was so much traffic to stop me being silly but I knew it ended my epic adventure.
The last day we ate at the Italian which was amazing but was sad as it was the last time we would be there.
In short the trip was amazing it was such a good time and the place was amazing I would tell anybody to go do it regardless of cost even just to experience the place you don't have to go do laps and of you do just stay to the right and you'll be fine.. more pics and videos to come..

Had a check over the car on Sunday and everything seams Ok. well kinda i have a very slight oil leak on the back of the engine but not worrying me at all as its only weeping not even dripping and the brakes have got nice and hot but all ready for Rockingham in October now just need to have a play around with camera positions I think Im going to have it on top of the clock I just need to get it up there and take a look.

So quick update I did the Rockingham Renault sport trackday on Monday and had so much fun..
The car was brilliant apart from the back end stepping out.. now I thought this was wierd as I have had no issues with it for a while.. however it did a few times and because the track wasn't massively busy I decided to experiment the reasons for and found out what made the back end step out which was brilliant so a few laps I was chucking the back round. now I want to see if it was just the track or if it was me doing it on purpose or if I need new tyres.. I've never experienced it before quite to this extent.. I'll edit my videos over the next week and see what's going on..
