Nintendo DS Lite...

Car  Megane DCi 147bhp/350nwm
Well, i think i'm going to go buy one tomorrow to take away with me.

Not used one before so just going to take the plunge and regret it later!

What games are worth getting?

What accessories would you recommend?

hmmm, looking at screenshots from the ds...it looks quite shite, i'm going off it i think

Its a hand held graphics will never be amazing....New Super Mario is good same with mario kart just check out games on gamespot or somin see what takes your fancy and you can get a DS Lite and 2 for i think its £140 or somin in gamestaion

Buy a ds Lite and buy a "r4 ds" card, i got one £38 posted with 1gb card and now I don't have to pay for games! (Maybe i get them free from Nintendo or maybe i download them, who knows!!). Best buy ever and Keeps me entertained no ends when im on the bog or bored!

I find its alot better and picking up and putting down than a psp because its load time is next to nothing.

New super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS, Sega Darts top a list of great games!

The DS is a brilliant machine, but choose games carefully. Diddy Kong Racing, MarioCart DS, Kirby, Yoshi's Island, New Super Mario are all excellent.

Shhhhhhh.

About £23 with a 1gb card. they allow you (with a big enough card) to play films on the DS and also use the machine as an MP3 player through the Moonshell OS. (You'll have to investigate).

I also have one of these, http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2967

Less than a tenner at todays exchange rate, allows you to run GBA games, it has rumble and memory expansion (so you can use the DS browser etc).

They take while to deliver but they are by far the cheapest place.

The machine is really good and there is alot of thrid party software available (see ds-scene.net) You can even download a program called SCummVM allowing you to play all the old Monkey Island etc games on your DS.

There are also loads of hacks available such as a directional card so you can use the machine as a controller on Wii, or for your PC through WiFI etc.

Incidently if anyone knows where I can get a Transparent Shock case cheap please help (Im not paying £20odd quid for one!)

Thanks

Dan.

Dealextreme takes an age to deliver however.
I paid £35 for my R4 off ebay with a 1gb card. I got my EZFlash for dealextreme when it was cheaper, but its only worth it for the web browser. The GBA save games piss me off.

Why do they p1ss you off?

I have a patch from ds-scene, the latest 3in1 software and the saves just drop into a directory on my sdcard. When you load to the ram mode it sees them and uses them normally.

I agree with the delivery time though, but I did state that.

i fancy a ds for the brain training, and I know it has more games like mario and the likes, but if you want a good gaming machine then the PSP is better with games like grand theft auto and race driver.

not as many decent games out, but I get bored easily of mario kart/donkey kong style games. i prefer the action and simulation games!
