No cranking - starter motor fine

Either a dodgy connection somewhere or it is heat related. Run the engine for a while and see if it still starts ok.

Ran it for about half an hour last night and its fine. Maybe the heat shield is helping. I hope it's not a dodgy connection. Maybe things will reemerge once I've took her out.

You didn't have a heat shield before? If not the solenoid was probably cooking. Just for reference when mine went it was the spade connector, they just rot eventually

It fell off ages ago, but the problem has only just started really. Wire shouldn't rot really :S
