have you checked your flux capacitor hasn't lost it's charge?

Go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device manager

Does anything have a yellow exclamation mark next to it?

go to the control pannel and click the sounds, speech and audio devices, then click the sounds and audio devices and click on the hardware, also try installing the audio drivers again

Could it be something simple such as the integrated volume control is down (the speaker icon in the bottom right)
