noise when putting foot down

when i put my foot down in 1st and 2nd i get a knocking sort of noise ,sounds like its comeing from the front drivers side ,had a garage have a look they said might be engine mounts but have changed them but still getting the same problem can any body help please as ive been driving it like this for a while now .

Sounds like the dog mount, when you changed the mount's im assuming the Upper engine and Upper gear box ?

i changed the dog bone mount and the top engine mount 1 week ago when i had all the cam belt done

possibly the top engine mount need pulling fowards

take the weight of the engine with a jack, place something soft, piece of wood etc between sump and jack though.
un-do the 4 bolts around mount
pull the engine fowards, towards headlights
and re tighten.

may only move a few mm's but might give you the clearance you require

Strut mounts! my mate had the same problem changed those and seems fine now
