Noisy 200 - vacuum problem?? HELP!

Alright..

I was driving to work this morning with the radio off and I could hear a strange blowing noise, but only when then car was in gear and I was accelerating, if I knocked it out of gear and accelerate it doesn't happen.. The car also seems a bit flat.. I've been in a few others and they seem more powerful it's by no means slow, or going into any sort of limp mode, and there's no lights on the dash..

Anyone got any ideas? Seems a bit weird it's only happening when I'm in gear "/

Some help would be awesome!

Take it to a dealer because it's in warranty. If you have no luck with that, then I'm happy to take a look (if we are ever near)

Aye I have it booked in for next wednesday .. Bit tetchy incase anything goes wrong until then like.. My o/s/f brake is squeeling like hell every time I break too.. Think I need to send it back and get a new one! Only had it 3 months!!
But yea, my mam lives in bristol & I'll be there soon! So if it's still screwed I might come over!

As in gear box completely dead? Haha or a minor problem with it?

No not completely dead but the TL4, NDO and PKx gearboxes are all troublesome. Some make noise where others are stiff and crunchy. With mileage it's a common thing to hear one make a little noise but not a brand spanker.
