noisy shaky n reg 16v cooler fan

I am not sure if this is normal but when my cooler fan comes on in my n reg 16v it seems to be a bit noisy and make the car shake quite a lot, I checked out the beast of a cooler fan, not very closely and can’t see any obvious problems.



Anyone had this problem? Any ideas

Can you determine whether it is the fan or the motor.

You might need a new motor if the old one is on its way out.

mine shakes the car like a b**ch, it actually sounds louder inside than it does out, i put it down to a broken fan blade.

broken fan blades can do this but do you mean the can makes the car shake or does it drop the revs of the engine to make the car shake?

thanks for replies, the revs stay the same, but the car shakes kind of as its about to stall, but lasts for the lenght the fan runs.

are the two screws that hold it on secured properly could be loose, the fan attaches itself to the rad!
