Non Sport Belt change..

Is changing the belts on Non sports as pricey/complex as it is on sports?
Do all the same precautions still apply eg dephaser, pulleys, waterpump etc?
Should most 2005 cars have had cambelt done by now? (1.2 16v I'm talking about mainly)

  mondeo titanium tdci
Dephaser no water pump yes it's not that a bad a job on those at all mate. Still a full cambelt kit is recomened not worth just changing the belt might as well do it all while it's apart.

None sports are easier the 1.4 and 1.6s though can be some time to do.

1.2 and dci are the cheapest to do.

No dephasers on any other of the range bar the mk3 1.6 from memoery whioch have vvt

1.2 from 2005 should be done but dont bet on it,

As for the waterpumps it depends better to do it on them since otherwise its belt off anagin if they fail (powered from the cambelt unlike the 2.0's) As for tensioners I know some places dont change them for some reason but for the price its worth getting them done
