Non-Sport Clio + Turini/172 Alloys?

Right, i have had my Clio for a while now and fancy 'modding' it a little bit.

I am a fan of Turinis, i think they look great - but i also like the sound of 172 alloys as they look good when slammed lots.

Now ofcourse i would be buying lowering springs at the same time...

But do these alloys still look good on a Non-Sport?

Here is the car currently.

New indicator bulbs are obviously a must, and an RS Grille.

Opinions/Ideas?

Thanks

dipending on your funds the turinis are more! would be the best thoe!
colour code bumper trims and side badges also dash inserts!
um tints all round lighter at the front thoe! induction kit and and if you want a zorst!

IK no
Tints no
Zorts no

What do you think i am... a chav? ;)

Dosn't really need colour coding, black on black - its hardly noticable. Maybe im wrong.

As for dash inserts, why? Mine are nice and silver :X

Get a massiv sub in da boot innit? lol ;)

Anyways, now thats over, you got the exact same as my first car. I'd do RS grill, springs, anthracite turinis and some spacers.

Would also paint the 16v side badges silver.

Oh and a shorter aerial! :)

you asked for some ideas, and then you throw your toys out of the pram when fellow members give input?

Schweppy, you'r post has been the only decent one, thanks.

But the others have just looked at me as a chav that wants 3 x 15" MUTANT SUBS yo and some mazzive zorts.

just merely throwing idea's in the melting pot.......

ive got Turini's on my 1.6

they do come in white, so that might be a option?

and if that isnt a helpful post? then what is?

and k-tec systems come with a lifetime guarantee as long as you own the car. i have one of those too. so im speeaking from experience here.

Thanks ;)

Yea i have thought about White Turinis but thought it would be OTT.

As for a full system, on a 1.2? All sound and no go :) Would look silly.

can get stealth systems hidden behind the bumper.

everytime i see white wheels on any car, especially black ones, i wish i had gone for the white option!

theyre not cheap tho!

unless you can find a set second hand, the marketplace on here is a god send!

ha ha.

This thread is making me chuckle.

'others have just looked at me as a chav that wants 3 x 15" MUTANT SUBS yo and some mazzive zorts.' ha ha, funny.

Anyone for a zort!!?? ha ha, (note the spelling incase you missed it). I don;t know whats funnier, zort or zorst. ha ha:)

Sorry, as for something constructive I would say it depends on your budget and what you are trying to acheive - when you say modding is it purely cosmetic (ie bodywork) or are you thinking whole suspension/chassis change and possible engine modifications??

The Turini idea sounds like a good start, but I think silver is the only colour thats going to look decent with the Blue bodywork.

I personally wouldn't throw alot of money at modding a lower spec car, I would save it and spend it on the actual car your trying to achieve, if that makes any sense.???

Well, money isn't really an issue.
They arn't dynamique wheels (I don't think?), just 172's in 15" form.
Ofcourse i would love a 172, but - im only 17 and this is my first car, and i won't be getting a 172 unless insurance comes down around £3000 :X

Only things i think i want to change are alloys and then lowered + rs grille etc.

Insurance would pushed up quite a bit if you start adding none standard alloys even on an low insurance group car, as it could move it to about 8 or 9 group.

  Ph1 172 + Combo van
i would lower it 60mm
rs grill
silver visions
and maybe some colour coding as it looks great on black

once its lowered your wheels wont look too small. i have the same wheels on mine and would love to have turinis but i cant justify the cost for my first car. would rather put the money towards my next car.

in the projects section there is a nice black 1.6 which has quite a few tasteful mods. have you seen that?

i got a loud cat back on my 1.2, but i have smoothed badges on the side no one believes its a 1.2 untill i pop the bonnet
