Noob advice

Never really been into upgrading audio stuff, but the Radio in the 197 cup is pretty basic tbh. So i want to improve the sound quality/bass of the system. I will be getting some Alpine unit through MT Audio i feel, so that's a start....... Now, i have x2 existing Infinitiy speakers which are the 5012i http://www.caraudiodiscount.com/reference-5012i-13cm-speaker-p-11710.html. Are these of reasonable quality? If not any suggestions? I presume i also need to sort out the rear, as 197 Cup's dont have rear speakers fitted (although are wired) Also i do have a Kicker amp like this http://uk.shopping.com/Kicker-IX402/info lying about I dont want a sub really, so is it worth amping speakers with what i have? Any pointers would be great

Those infinity ones you have will be fine for the rear.

Then if it was me, i'd fit a new head unit, some good quality front components and possibly a small amp to power them. But for me, running amps etc is a bit of a ball ache.

(I do have some awesome brand new Focal components for sale if you want them cheap. BNIB)
