noticeable difference in fuel economy with decat?

hey guys, spent 4 hours fitting a decat to my sport yesterday, half hour job my arse. anyway, should i be seeing a noticable change in fuel economy. i may just be conscious of nothing due to it being new and never having one before but it seems to guzzle fuel... any ideas?

Didnt make sod all difference on mine, just made the exhaust extremely loud on motorways. Bhp/torque gain was minimal as I gained 5bhp and 1lb/ft of torque with the cat back in and with a more restrictive exhaust, but I had also changed the map. No doubt its better to have a less restrictive exhaust though, but for gains on midly tuned engines I think they will be minimal!

You think the 182 de-cat is hard to fit? Try a 172.

Didn't notice a difference myself! 4 hours , maybe best to pay a garage next time lol

Likewise, I'm currently getting about 37MPG out of mine
