I have posted this problem up before, and didnt get much feedback anyway. I have some updates on what I have done to try to solve it to no avail.
I have replaced the bulb, holder & connector.. no change.
I looked at wiring it to the rear taillight, not knowing thats where it already gets its feed from, so I checked the connection visually and using a multimeter - its okay, the continuity from the tail light connector to the number plate connector is fine.
I tested the continuity of the earth, from the number plate connector to the earth bolt underneath the left taillight and that is fine.
Can someone please help me on this?
