o/e headunits

has anyone tried putting their original headunit(single cd from a mk2 clio)in another car?

ive just got the code back for it and im gonna stick it in my mums car for her,it seems to work ok theirs power and sound as i can hear the code entering when i press it,only thing is their are 3 single wires which i believe to possibly be an earth and whatever the others are,anyone know what these will be before i have to go and look at wiring diagrams?

is it a clio? cos the display and controls wont work if not??

One of the wires left is a speed pulse signal.

ok cheers guys ill tyr and explain it a bit better.

im putting it into a rover the standard renault headunit from my clio(or trying too).she hasnt got any steering wheel controls to worry about and the display wont work but its a pretty simple headunit to work without a display.

the one im taking out the rover is a tape,their are the two plastic block connectors in the rover and 3 single wires.the platic block connectors went in and i could hear the bleeping so ive got power and sound i think.

the spare wires ive not got a clue where their connected to?
