Does the original CD head-unit in the Mk2 172s have the correct connections to wire an amp up to it?

I havent got the 4 keys at hand to have a quick check.

nope doesnt have the rear outputs

Balls! Does that mean Ill have to buy a new head-unit if I want to stick one in the boot to amp up my new fronts?

Are there any connector blocks you can buy to let you do it?

I used a hi-low convertor, works great, have all factory speakers running off head unit as usual and a sub running off the amp.
