OEM 182 Trendlines impossible to source?

Car  BMW Z3 M & 182 FF
So I think I know the answer to this as I've been looking around a fair amount but I don't seem to be having much luck, so just so I'm 100% sure - The OEM Trendlines that were offered as an extra on the 182 or standard on the Trophy, are essentially impossible to source, right?

I'm really keen to make a few subtle mods to my 182, but I only really want to include anything that would have been offered as an option out of the factory. Maybe I'm totally missing something, but yeah, I just can't find them anywhere!

Any advice massively appreciated!

I had a set in my last 182, they were mucho rare yes. Not many people spec’d Them and obviously those who did won’t take them out the car to sell.

You can find a set from a megane and swap the sub frames to match the clio

Are they identical from a megane?

Same seat yes, different subframe and slide adjuster I think and possibly have a slightly different piece where it says recaro. One is leather and one isn’t I think can’t really remember

Yeah I figured as much... Shame!

Oh well, I'll have some time to get my bank balance back in order I guess!

These were mine! Look great but I could have lived without them

You after the OEM ones specifically? The trendline came/comes in many trims from recaro and other manufacturers. Some of the hens teeth JDM only are so hard to find, once in a blue moon situation.

Yeah OEM only, really... I figure they're a nightmare to find, but I'd sooner hold out for the original item.

Oh really? They must hold you better than the stock seats though? They're lower too, right?

I've got Trendlines in mine and, to be honest, standard seats hold you in much better when you're having a spirited drive.

I've got Jon Foz lower frames so mine are a bit lower which improves the driving position.

OK good to know, thank you.

yeah you can just buy them from Recaro. and Recaro sub frames for a mk2, although the sub frames are as eye watering as the seat cost.
@JON FOZ can usually sort you cheaper subframes once you have the seats.. he usually also has a load of use JDM seat options in his spares.

As other have said.. defo style over substance.

Thanks guys - Got a few options now.... I think I'm going to go for it - Totally hear the comments about style over substance, but they *do* look bloody good.

was going to mention them, the car is in with me a the mo for engine rebuild, he's just decided to sell them.

I did wonder if it was my old Bg tbf as not many with factory ones, guessing not! Can’t remember the guys name who bought it. They’re a good price, no f**king around to get them in like the megane ones.

The other part to note is the seatbelt tensioner covers. those on that factory fit should have them.

edit... it does have them in the pics

the pic must be from when he bought them, they are in an rb now.

I've yet to fit mine but they do look the part
heard nothing but bad things about how they actually hold you though!lol!

Fitted these from an evo 10 in mine. Not quite as nice as the ones above and no tilt/slide but seats in great nick and went in no probs with Jon Foz subframes. £380 All in which is a lot cheaper than the standard fit ones but the Mrs does moan about the lack of tilt/slide!

@superclio the final part of the puzzle to read up on, is the air bag system.
Factory fit/trophy have the airbag ecu programmed to not look for side airbags as the recaros don't have them. 1*2 seats do.
So you can either go to a garage to have them programmed out.
Or get hold of an rstuner with additional airbag module and do it yourself.
Or go for the resistor trick.

Need to do one of the three or you will have a dash light.

Frustratingly, I've already got the dash light showing up on the car anyway... I've tried the resistor trick but it's not doing the job unfortunately - Think I might need to get it programmed out, regardless... I've gone through the tutorial on here but just haven't had any luck!

OEM points then I get why you'd want Renault ones, but if you want trendlines, get them from a jap car (Honda/mitsi are good sources). The Renault ones are absolutely gash (Meg R26/Clio Trophy), feel like cheap fakes.

Really? They're Black Leather/Grey Alcantara just as they come from Recaro direct aren't they?

Pleather not leather. Just feel very flimsy and plastic compared to the ones in the Hondas and Mitsi's
