OEM pads and disks

So the car (172 Cup) has gone in today for the pads changing all round. Thought it might be £150 or so.

How wrong was I. 'hello sir, your front disks are corroded and your read disks are badly corroded, it will be £250 for your front disks and pads, and £313 for your rear disks and pads. Would you like us to go ahead with the work?'

Well, no actually I wouldn't. Seeing as the disks were replaced 14k miles ago. Are you telling me your disks are so **** they last 14k miles? The first set lasted over 20k. Whats the problem?

Its out of warranty now. This is the last time I go to a main dealer.

nah mate. rust is what happens to most of the discs on the williams'. but thats cos they dont get used. which is also why the calipers seize up, fortunately i dont have that problem ;)
