tut tut!!! What were you doing overtaking on a zebra crossing?? Try to get home while the bread was warm!!! ;)

Normally crossing offences are all PC**. Never heard of an LE** offence.

Sure the code is right? PC normally carry 3 points.

Effect on insurance impossible to say till you tell them , all insurers different.

LE90 thats what it says in the ticket. He did not say anything about points but just to pay the fine and that would be it.

Impatience, some bloke was going slowly along the road (looking like he was going to stop at anytime) so after the crossing I overtook him, right in front of the Police which I did not see until I looked the rear view.

Naughty boy I know :oops:and I am willing to take the punishment but I am unsure if it comes with points.

GeordiePaul, you should know better. I have delivered all my bread by 8am!! Fresh is my middle name.

Was on the Zig Zag lines apparently and was going at quite. I dont think it was as bad as they made out but I was not going to argue to point at the time. I may consider going to court if there is points involved. The problem is that when excellerating at 20mph the car sounds like it is going a lot faster.

Not sure what to do? I am sure I would have to be past the zigs to overtake him but at the time you question yourself because you are put on the spot.

They pulled you over cos you have a fast car.....simple as that. They could have give you a bollocking and then let you go!!!

id check that out keith

does it not change between forces?

That take you a while to type? or was it a cut and paste job? lol

Wonder how many people on here have got/had a few of them, gto my 1st SP60 last year (bought a speed camera detector the next day).

For the fine I wouldnt bother arguing if it aint a points offence, if it is you aint really got much to loose, if the copper aint got u on camera etc then what evidence can they priduce? Was it one copper or two in the car? and was it a traffic car or a jumped up little prat in a sh!t box Fiesta? If it wasnt a traffic car or there was only one copper you should be able to get away with it

PS if the ticket has an error on it it doesnt stand either, request clarification from the police station of what offence it is and check for ANY mistake.

rubbish the one copper thing is bollox as for it being a traffic cop it dont matter- its an offence regardless of where it is

it is easier to argue that the perception of one copper can be slightly incorrect though the perception of two coppers is harder to argue against. It worked for me in court, and I was in the right then too (y)

LOL @ Matthew, mine licence isnt quite as comprehensive -only a measly SP30 and TS10 to my name. Doesnt matter whether its points or not. Any ticket deserves to be challenged even if you did do it!

Looks like points. Took documents down to the station this morning. Unofrtunatley I did not have the paper part of the licence but she did mention I needed it to send off.

I think when I go back I will ask to clarify the offence code and ask how many points. It was a focus with 2 officers, I dont think they have any evidence (apart from the sound of the VTEC as I floored it) but such is life I will take what ever the outcome is.

I hope I can find the paper part, failure to produce makes things a little different:sick:
