Oil and tyres...

I was wondering if someone could answer a coupla little queries...



What oil is best for a Mk2 172, fully synthetic or semi-synthetic...



Also what tyres have people got/used and can recommend to fit the standard alloys, and what pressure do most of ya inflate your tyres to (the contis) for maximum road handling/speed!

I use Catrol GTX Magnatec 10W 40 about as good as any.

Tyres I use 33psi frton and 31psi rear

Toyo Proxes T1-S there are better but for the price they cant be beaten £39 a corner from mytyres.net (might have gone up a bit now!)

fully synthetic is best, always, unless your running in, in which the car would have come from the factory with oil for this purpose

I recommend Silkolene, Mobil and Elf/Total

tyre pressure seems to be personal preference really, i have 36 all round, its just what seems best for me, anythin lower seems sloppy
