Oil catch foam stuff....

hello

so when i was poking about under my car the other day, i had to remove what was left of the foam mat that fits to the under tray to catch crap that drips down, so my question is should i replace it? as i do not want to drip oil onto the road, especially under my own tryres

If the oil leak is that bad then id be sorting that out 1st.

rip it off the tray.
Source where the oil leak is though, however they do accumulate oil from when people undo the oil filters and let the oil drain down the block.
That or gearbox seal leaks which are common

It's not designed to catch oil its designed as NVH material for engine noise. FYI
