Oil Change

  was 172 Cup now 197
Hi Everyone :D

Just wondering if anyone knows exactly how much oil a 172 cup requires for a full change?? Also in the mean time if the oil is a bit low is it wise to top it up without knowing what type of oil is currently in it, i.e. potentially mixing two types of oil?? :S

Cheers

Tom

as long as your above the minimum mark your ok, when my oil level sensor thing broke and the dashboard was telling me my oil was ok i was actually running half way under the minimum mark and the bottom of the dipstick for god knows how long! dont know if it caused any damage but it didnt do anything serious.

There no real risk using a different oil but for your car a decient 5-40 is what you want .
However I'd just go and do a whole oil change. Its well worth it and not much effort.
