oil change

  Clio 172 Cup

hi guys i bought some new oil the other day, gonna change it this weekend. Do i need a new oil filter too? ive done 16000 miles and it aint been changed yet. If i need to change it, what makes are decent. Any suggestions would be great...cheers.

Yes it will be worth doing if your changing the oil. K-Tec Racing do Oil Filter which i expect would be good. But Id get myself down to *coughhalfordscough* and just get one there, doubt K-Tecs would make any difference!

Get a proper service before you screw up your warranty, Renault not contacting you is a lame excuse, they didnt ring me either ;)

I dont know if its all in the mind but they always seem faster after a service!!

Either get it down to the dealer for a service ASAP or do it yourself, but either way I think the warranty is now void!

Only use a GENUINE Renault oil filter and use a good 10W40 semi-synthetic oil if youre doing it yourself.

Why only semi-synthetic? Theres quite a few people on here that have recomended a fully synth one..
Thats what the engine is designed to run on...

But you can go fully synth, I meant keep to 10W40 ACEA3 spec
