oil filler cap cover removal?

how do i do this exactly? i know that there is a notch for your fingers but i tried it and it was very stiff, i didnt want to force it cus knowing my luck i would break the damn thing.

do you just have to give it a good pull or is there something else to do to get it off?

Mate I had the same problem with my new 182. It felt like it was welded on.

In the end I took the engine cover off, and eased the clips from the back which holds the cap on with. Once I did this you could remove it with you fingers.

they're just stiff.

Give it a good pull... mine's been replaced because it broke lol

i tried with a lot of force, but it wouldnt move, i was pulling where there seems to be a thumb recess, no luck, didnt want to pull any harder cus i thought i might break the damn thing, seemed to move easier at the bottom right, where the 2.0 is written.


i suppose i dont need to take it off, i was just curious.

anybody have anymore advice?
