Oil filler cap

So I changed my oil at the weekend, and mustn't have put the cap back on right, could smell a strong oil smell which i thought was just the bit i'd spilt buring off but when i checked earlier, no cap! Do Renault parts carry these as a standard item?

i ordered mine and temporarily put abit of rag held on by a zip tie to stop the oil spreading everywhere

It doesnt, its a screw in job. Friggin oil everywhere underneat too, is it ok to get a power easher in there when i get a cap? Obviously avoiding electrics

Got the cap, whats the best way to clean the gunk off everything then? Degreaser or what?

Degreaser in a spray bottle + microfibre

Or I wrap all my electrics in plastic bags with rubber band round the bottom then degrease and scrub with a brush and rinse off with a hose attachment.
