Oil for a mk2ph1 1.6 16v rsi?

Anyone know what oil i should be getting?

At first i was told to get a 10w40 semi but was told this is wrong and ended up buying a 5w30 fully synthethic.

Have i bought the right/wrong oil?

i put 5w/40 in mine. the lower the first number the more protection it gives from the turn of the key.

i would say 30 is too low tbh.

Mine is not engine 2005-2007 nor is it a clio III ? :S

i think the 5w30 would be ok, as i understand it the last digits e.g 30 are the level of protection once hot so to speak e.g. the viscosity of the oil.

going by those results i would say get some 5W40

Damn i should have bought it from there! Oh well, oil will be changed again this time next year so ill buy some from there!

I put in a 5w50 fully synthetic trackday oil, to help keep it quiet.
