Oil in my spark plug wells?

I just changed my plugs and leads to try and solve a misifirng problem and there was quite alot fo oil in my spark plug wells? Whats the deal with this? Rocker gasket?

Could this have been whats causing the misifirng below 2.5k revs?

Will be checking mine next week - when I did the sparks a month or two ago they looked clean. There is a sensor right next to one of the holes which often leaks oil so wondering if that is your problem?

I've had that problem on a couple of 172's, but not on the Valver.

Quite possibly. Have you changed anything since the misfire started?

I replaced my plugs earlier and plug 2 was covered in oil. I had a massive problem with the car running like crap and thats when I found the oil. New plugs have sorted out the issue for me.

well i smacked in new plugs 2day but due to hoispital appointment never got around to getting the leads on! Will have to wait till the morning to see whats going on!
