Oil light..

  Inferno 182 & Saxo
I'd be inclined after all this is over to do a full oil change using oil to the correct spec and grade with a new renault filter

Depends on what oil you use. Filter is usually about £6-8 delivered
I use vavolene synpower 5w40 which is about £40~45 quid delivered

I will go through my mechanic, he lives down my road so doesnt rip me off. So should be about £60? I need to get a full service done soon.. is the oil change included in a full service?

it should be as its a full service.
Basic stuff a normal mechanic will be ok with but if you cant tackle it yourself a specialist is the best bet, as these cars have certain needs or procedures normal mechanics sometimes dont know about

He rebuilds older porches and rs turbos etc so should be okay as well as general mechanics. Any thing I should point out?

Any normal garage can do an oil change without worry, i always buy my own parts, oil from opieoils and filters etc from whoever is the cheapest Renault dealer, I pay around £30 labour for the oil change to be done for me, i know some people would class this as a wasted £30 but it saves me messing around jacking my car up and having to dispose of old oil etc and most imporantly it gets me the stampin my book.

silkolene pro s oils at £46 delivered
Oil filter, air filter and pollen filter for £35ish
garage labour £30

Total - £111 , and i know the beat oil has been used along with all genuine Renault parts

Glad u got it sorted, but isn't the oil warning light more of a pressure sensor sorta fault, not a low oil light? Hence why there's a separate display saying oil ok?

Nope, done a service on my car yesterday and when I started it up to fill the filter the oil light came on as it was about half a litre off max!
