Oil on the cam belt.......

Was doing my timing belt today and when we took the covers off there was oil on the belt and pullies!!!

So does that mean that its time for new cam shaft and crank shaft oil seals?

If so,

How much are they and where is best place to get them from?

Danny

wouldnt worry about it, changed mine at 89k, previouslt done at 65k, was quiote contaminated but it is kinda enevitable and not worth worrying about as a bit of dirt and oil happens, just change the belt

depends where its leaking from.

There should be obvious signs of leakage.

I would fix it, easpecially if it was camseals as this is a quick and easy fix.

oil can contaminate the belt/cause it to disintigrate and make it snap etc. if there is a visible amount of oil i would find the leak and fix it. most likely be a crank or cam seal.
