Oil Pressure (different problem to Ben H)

Got in my car this afternoon and started it from cold, and the oil pressure guage rose to almost MAX. It read like this for a good 6-7 minutes, until I stopped and switched off. When I turned it back on, it returned to the normal readings at different revs.

Could this just be a faulty sensor?

Co-incidence maybe, but it was also struggling for power for the first 30 seconds of this journey, which it hasnt done yet. i.e. patchy acceleration/choking sensation

maybe a blockage in the oil filter?? that would explain the high pressure?? it may have cleared when you restarted.

Cheers, that would make sense.. its due an oil/filter change.

Re-occuring every time now, will get the filter changed and see if it solves it.
