oil recommendation

  Clio 182
i'm looking to change my engine oil and was hoping some of you could recommend some good brands. as far as i know the clio takes a 5w40 oil and renault use Elf (is this any good). any opinions much appreciated. it's a 182.

  L'arctic Bleu Clio 182FF
Shell Helix, Comma, Silkolene.... they are all pretty much the same, just pay a little more for the brands.... as long as they are 100% fully synthetic i don;t think it makes a major difference? I know i could be flamed for saying it but unless you are going to put your car on the track and push it to the limit i think the choice is yours! ;-)

  Megane 225
0w30 will piss out all over the place! May as well use water imo!

Tried it there and it's recommending Edge Diesel 5w40? PMSL

  Ex-172 owner. Now a Mini!
Weird, have just done it again on my reg and another 172 and it's coming up as 0w 30. I use 5w 40 as I said anyway, but Castrol seem to think otherwise!

pffffff and again fully synth. 5W40 will do but in cup racing we ALWAYS are provided with 5W50 (Elf Excellium) but any 5W50 full synth. will do.
