Oil & Stop light flickering....

The car's oil and stop light seem to flicker when coming down the rev range for some reason?

Plenty of oil in her and she runs sweet as a nut? Seems strange.. The cars been laid up since October and only occasionly taken round the block/fired up to keep her sweet.

Its a Phase 1 172 btw, also, the stock for the trip computer seems to be out of action it wont flick through the computer etc, anyone shed any light on that?

Thanks in advance!

The car has been parked outside through the whole winter period, it seems to me like a dodgy oil pressure switch or damp connection.

What connection is it, in relation to the oil filter?

Oil light usually means lack of pressure, not necessarily lack of oil as such.

It could be a loose/slipping belt ? Not charging the alternator = Lack of volts in the battery meaning it won't keep record of the trip etc..?

Just guessing....

I'd look for corrosion on the connector first, then do an oil pressure test (remove sensor, plumb in pressure gauge). More than likely electrical, seen a few ph1's have a flickering oil light and made perfect oil pressure with a mechanical gauge test.

Low brake fluid? Think me and Fred discussed that not long ago.

Brake fluid should make the STOP and (!) illuminate/flash... This is oil pressure so check the connection, mechanically measure the actual pressure and repair as required as Danny said above.

Ah cool guys wasn't sure. Is the oil pressure the oil can? Not sure on the Clios.
