Oil Top Up Ph1 172

Hi all

Noticed my low oil light came on this morning when i parked up at work (not leaking any) so guess it has been a while since its been changed/topped up, TBH i wasnt planning on having a full oil & filter change done till early into next year when money isnt do tight.

So my question is if i pop past halfruds tonight on way home whats the best stuff to top it up with untill i can afford/get time to have it in for a full filter/oil change?

Engine is on just under 116k if that akes any difference?

did you actually check on the dipstick? oil sensors are pretty useless ime

tbh no... was dark when i got to work and is now dark so will have to wait until i get it under some light

will probably just pick up some 5/40 or 0/40 of some description just incase anyway, whats probably best out of the two?
