10w 40 or 5w40 depending on who you ask...but Renault use 10w40.

Fully is better, but semi is fine too...obviously the more you pay, the better it should be.

Just don't get the cheapie stuff! (tesco's 5litres for a couple of quid!)

The RS manual says 5W40, so i'd go for that.
Get a fully synthetic one and you'll be away....
