Oiling air filter

Just recieved my k-tec air filter and wondering if I need to oil it before installing it, anyone else got this filter, it does look like there is moisture in the packaging so I'm thinking it's pre-oiled.

i put mine straight in, i guess if it wasnt oiled then they may have supplied some.
i will re oil it when i clean it

It will be pre oiled, squeeze the foam between your fingers and you'll feel the oil on the surface of your skin.

Oiled filters are meant to feel tacky not mega greasy, I had the same concern when I got one but too much oil
will restrict the air flow and coat your throttle body in crap.

I had an ITG before the k-tec one and it was soaked in oil, subsequently I found that
the k-tec one felt better out of the box.

They're normaly pre-oiled. It's when you clean them when they need to be re-oiled.
