Basically the phone is costing me nothing, and I will be using my company sim in it.

What do you plan to use it for?

Its possibly the most web centric handset in existence, so i wouldn't bother if you arent going to use it for internet.

Think this is suitable enough to not go into the iPhone thread.

What are people opinons? I'm going to be buying an iPhone 3G unlocked from play.com and a SIM only contract from Orange.

What are peoples experiences with similiar setups, any features that don't work?

How easy to unlock as heard some stories of people not being able to. Is there any guides anywhere as i've searched and searched and havent really found a proper step by step guide with what I need to get etc...

And if I got a 3GSm would I be able to send MMS from an Orange sim? And difference between jailbreak and unlocking?

Still unsure whether or not to Jailbreak my 3GS. Apart from visual customisations what are you guys doing with it once Jailbroken.

I know I cant say but where can I find a guide that covers cough ## Apps ## cough. You know what I mean.

I did a jailbreak on mine last night. No noticeable slow down at all.

You can still synch you apple apps too, you can just get some other apps from outside of itunes.

Is there any way to back up Cydia apps? They don't show in iTunes and it would be a pain to have to manually add them all again.

Mine fell out of my pocket today onto concrete and has made a kind of pitted scuff mark on the back black cover on the corner.

Is it possible to get replacement back covers or it replaced by apple, does anyone know of prices ?

i know a good place for apple repairs btw! their an authorized repairer and a lot quicker than going through apple.
