This was posted on AppleInsider in a thread relating to the photo above:

There are quite some indications that the new models will roll out pretty soon. At least five people were independently advised by the hotline of T-Mobile Germany (exclusive iPhone partner here) that they will offer the new model as per the 16th of June. While a Tuesday sounds unlikely, it might be a better idea than dealing with failing activations and an overloaded network over the weekend?!

The beta releases have dried up and most of my apps have started to receive 3.0 updates over the last two days which could mean 3.0 will have a public release very soon.

Exactly. I've had to update four apps to 3.0-friendly, today.

Not that it matters much, since i'll be upgrading to a next-gen iPhone.

The latest version of iTunes is rolling out now with support for iPhone 3.0 so IMO the update will be released as soon as after the announcements of the new hardware.

Ive also heard 3.0 beta testers receiving O2 updates to enable MMS so im guessing within the next week 3.0 will be released.

You'll only get it if you're on the developer program as you'd need 3.0.

I got a white 16gb before xmas, i wonder what my options are for upgrading to the v3 iphone :/

I got a message which says "Setting up picture messaging on your iPhone doesn't seem to be working. Give Customer Service a ring and we'll sort it out for you."

Phoned o2 and was told that they are currently provisioning MMS on all iPhone contracts in preparation for the launch of 3.0 next week.

I installed the o2 ipcc file linked below and resent the 'active' message and mms was immediately available and working.

What version of itunes have you got sneeks? Someone said that you can't install an ipcc file on the latest version.

I read the same but iTunes 8.2 installed the ipcc without any trouble.

Hmmm ...

I've downloaded the ipcc and tried the alt + restore and alt + update and neither will let me select the ipcc file on the desktop.

Using Mac OS not windows.

I'm using OS X Leopard running the latest 8.2 beta of iTunes.

Alt-Check for Update displays my Desktop where I have saved the ipcc file to and I can select it from there.

My iTunes is listed as 8.2b7 (10)

Oddly my Mac has never attempted to upgrade iTunes via the Software Update.
