Privacy and security is becoming more and more important. What if anything do you have/use for internet privacy and security?

I'm currently moving from as many Google services as I can over to Proton and I use their VPN on my phone and PC. I'm also trying Linux for the first time, if it works out then i may move full time from Windows.

I think Privacy and security are quite different things even though they are always grouped together.

Privacy - the information they gather on you, what can be done with it? Most of the information gathered on me is likely highly generic and very boring.

Security - I use ESET to check everything and anything downloaded, I use a password manager with auto fill for bank/payment info so I don't have to physically type anything in and in general I am hyper sensitive about sending information to people such as passport pictures, driving licence, social security numbers etcetc.

I guess ultimately my goal is to avoid identity theft. Whats your goal here?
