Is it possible to have a 5 spd gearbox in my 1.2RL i cannot stand not having 5th gear! the number of times ive reid to shift into 5th and panniced myself because i couldnt fint it is getting to stupid numbers!

Any way can this be done#?

I remember hearing that you can do this as the clio gearboxes can be refitted to any clio so in theory you could put a 172 gearbox in there.

No idea how much it would cost thoug Im imagining its a big job and they would have to remove the engine.

Depending upon what you have done to your car it may be better value getting a Clio wih a 5 speed box o getting a whole new engine tranplant ie GTT or 172 transplant.

dont have to take the engine out for a box swap, its a pretty straightforward swap.

i was referring to a straight swap from a 1.2 that has 5spd, the spec eds had them did the not? pretty sure i know someone with a 5 spd 1200.
