Opinions on Asus laptop please!

It's mainly for uni work, internet and some music/video so the spec doesn't need to be monstrous but i'd like it to last 3 years.

I like the fact it has 2gb RAM as standard so won't be needing to upgrade that for a while.

Anything similar you could recommend at an absolute max of £500?

It has 1gb ram but 2.16ghz processeor, compared to 1.5ghz on the asus.

Be better off with a Dell from that POV, they've up'd their game in recent years.

Failing that, sell your anus and get this. Just robbed it off Hotdeals, over £1,000 everywhere else:

Cheers lke the look of the top one. It was gonna be an xmas gift, hence the budget but i might put some more towards it myself to get a better one.

Can't be arsed with macs tbh, overpriced imo.
