Opinions Wanted (wheels)

Just out of curiosity, what wheels would you fit to your car (Clio 172) if you could choose any.

As ive just smashed mine up on a curb, im on the lookout for some new ones, and i think im going to stick to the standard 15" or maybe 16" OZ F1s. Other than that i would probably choose some 16" or 17" OZ super ts

Just interested in what other people think/like?

Is it true larger wheels can spoil your handling?

larger wheels can do a number of things:

rub on the wheel arch

affect the speedo reading and acceleration - if the PCD is not correct

affect handling - they are usually wider, and with this may accelerate wear on Power steering components

could look sh*t

IMHO standard is best - the fantastic package that is the 172 looks great as it is, why change it and look like the rest of the knob brigade. Mwuahahaha

go with the 16" OZ F1s mate.... will not affect the car handling or accleration ans will look the tittys lol

Yeah, the oz f1s in 16 inch will look good; just bigger than standard but still look the same, only trouble you will have though is the same i had witht he mk2 i had, as that is on 16s the tyre profile is smaller and the wheel far easier to kerb - and you may be back to square 1 tough call really mate.
