My 18 month contract ends in two days. It's the first contract i've had so was just wondering if there was anything i had to do to ensure it ends....

Does it just end automatically unless I contact them to extend it?

you have to tell them you want it to end. 18 months is simply the minimum term.

You'll need to send them a letter of termination which will take another month to finish so you will actually pay for 19 months

And make sure that none of the parts of the contract (mins, text, data) were an offer for the 18 month minimum term, so that they don't take them away and you get a massive bill.
