Original battery in my car ?

Does it look like i have the original battery in my car?

Would guess so being Renault brand (its obvious yes but id like confirmation ;))

It cut out the other day on a cold start... will be getting colder soon, and im adding an amplifier in the boot...

So might get the trade card out down halfords and see if i can get a good deal on a bosch battery or whatever.

Ok, cheers mate,

Think i might go for the Bosch silver, £96.99 before trade discount... ill see how much it works out at, anyone know?

Otherwise it will be the boggo spec halfords, unless anyone can point me in the right direction?

Dont want it cutting out in the cold or with the extra draw from the amp, after all its 7 years old.

I stuck one of those Bosch ones in mine the other day, no trade card here :( but it fires up with no hesitation again now.

Im only heading towards Bosch because i guess its a better battery? or are the halfords ones fine?

Less i can spend for a decent battery the better if anyone has any links.

As Fletcher said go for a Bosch one they do different coloured ones and each colour represents how long they are guaranteed for. I would try your local tyre place though as halfords price seem's expensive. We have had about 8 different Bosch battery on various cars and the cheapest was £40 for a punto and most expensive was £78 for a Carrera and they are a much bigger battery.

Just ordered this

as going to get the more expensive one but this looks like a good replacement for the OEM... thats if my current batter is the original im 50/50.. car starts fine im not an expert on how long batterys last.. it would have been there for 7 years ish... so hopefully i have done the right thing and not wasted money!

Was £64.74, originally used the battery15 code for 15% off but then found a 25% off all parts code (winter25)

Resulting in the battery delivered soon for £48.56, Not bad... and a heads up there for anyone thinking of future proofing there car for winter :)

I had the original one that I swapped last week lol, did well for 9 years but was fooked! £40 calcium jobby from the local tyre and exhaust place done the trick ;) You need an 063 guysy so yeh that should be fine.

Yeah Euro car parts where fun over the phone, eventually after she went to speak to someone its being collected then refunded, fine with me then i can order the correct one with the discount code for £31.45

Your OEM did well, if mines orig its on 7 years and tbh i think it could cope a year or two more, but better safe than sorry for 30 quid!
