OS X Tiger Question

Like a 'tard I didn't take into consideration my iphone 4 would have issues with my OS what with everything I've ever connected working perfectly as soon as it's connected.

I've got an Imac G5 with iSight running OS X Tiger. Am I right in thinking I've now got to put my hand in my pocket for this.

Just checked the apple site and it says you need at least 5.8 (leopard) so yes you do!

That is seriously s**t by apple though since it works with xp (which was launched at the same time as 10.3 irrc?, panther)

Edit: But you can upgrade with just the normal snow leopard disk which is about £25, your licence wont be exactly right but it works 100% fine since my old mb had this.

Tbh makes me consider selling up the G5 and replacing it with a new mac. If it's going to cost me £130 in firmware update anyway on an "old" machine. Balls

Yes, you'll need to be running snow leopard for the 4, know a few people who are having this issue.

Your the n00b boy, I used that to go from tiger to snow on my old mb, it works, its the exact same disc you get in the pack, just without the upgraded ilife. The old ilife works fine anyway though.

Oh, and I'm sure you didnt have one on sunday?

Issue is my G5 is not a dual core model it's the model before. The way I read it is "power pc" models which is what my G5 with iSight is require the item I've linked to.

I see, dont think you can run SL if you dont have an intel processor. Even the pack you linked to wouldn't help.

You could upgrade to leopard though, may have to fins an upgrade pack for sale on ebay.
